Overview
In 1998, Eidos Interactive brought us one of the most refreshing real-time strategy games of that year. With its addictive and challenging gameplay, Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines separated itself from the masses with its unique approach to the strategy game genre. Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty is basically a mission add-on pack for Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, adding just eight more missions, a few new weapons and a higher graphics resolution. However, this game is sold as a stand-alone product so you won't need the original Commandos to play.
PC games often fall into one of two categories: gameplay rich and graphically rich. Games such as Red Alert feature engrossing game play but adequate graphics, whereas others like Forsaken have killer visuals but less interesting game play. For me, gameplay is by far the most important aspect of any game. I remember playing games like the original Warcraft which had mediocre graphics but was a blast to play. So it’s fortunate that Commandos: B.C.D. has gameplay that really rocks!
